Design and development of a digital walking tour of the town including an audio guide, signposting and flyers
April to July 2021
Seelbach is nestled in a picturesque landscape between meadows, forests and valleys - in the heart of the Schuttertal valley. The climatic health resort can look back on 800 years of history and has a lot to offer its guests and locals.
In order to expand the tourist offer in Seelbach, MAQNIFY was commissioned to design a digital tour of the town with an audio guide, associated signposting boards and a flyer. The project was initiated jointly by Carla Singler from the Seelbach Culture and Tourist Information Centre and Siegfried Kohler, Head of the Main Office.
Thanks to the new innovative and contemporary offer, holiday guests, day travellers and locals can now find out about Seelbach's exciting history and historical sights at any time.
The town centre can be explored at your own pace and in three languages - German, English and French - at a total of 13 stations. In addition, 7 detours in the surrounding area invite you to discover and linger: extend your tour, for example, to the Hohengeroldseck castle ruins with impressive views of the surrounding area or to the Lützelhardt castle ruins, which stand on Seelbach's local mountain.
To make it quick and easy for visitors and guests to access the digital circular trail, MAQNIFY designed QR code boards for all stations and the municipality of Seelbach installed them at the individual stations. The QR codes lead directly to the digital circular trail.
For smartphone and tablet users without an app for scanning the QR code, the web address (URL) is also provided on all boards for typing in.
MAQNIFY was also commissioned to design a matching flyer for the digital tour in the corporate design of the municipality of Seelbach. The flyer contains a brief description of all the stations and a clear map with a circular route. This allows visitors to get an idea of the tour and the various stations in advance - and if they wish, they can also go on their own personalised tour.
