Marketing the city cooperation in other European countries and in Germany

TourComm was commissioned back in 2006 to market the seven "Romantic Cities" partners in various European source markets as well as in Germany. Since then, we have also acted as an office, i.e. as a coordinating organisation.

The mix of measures for market cultivation is strategically reorganised each year from the large portfolio of trade marketing, sales, online & influencer marketing and press relations. In this way, the cities are positioned sustainably and successfully in the markets.

3 Romantic Cities measures

Workshops were organised as part of market development activities to promote closer cooperation with coach tour operators, where tour operators can find out about cooperation opportunities and offers. The launch of these workshops took place at the Signal Iduna Park in Dortmund.

The project involves close cooperation with bloggers from various source markets who have already been able to inspire new guests to travel to the Romantic Cities in the past. A broad network has been built up here over the years.

The city cooperation is also regularly represented in the various source markets. Close contacts are made at trade fairs and workshops and developments in the market are monitored.
