The digital city tour of Emmendingen

Picturesquely nestled in Breisgau, the margrave town of Emmendingen lies between the foothills of the Black Forest and the Kaiserstuhl in the Rhine plain. Thanks to its rich history, Emmendingen has a lot to offer: a place of conviviality with a variety of shopping and dining options as well as numerous sights.

MAQNIFY designed the digital tour through the town of Emmendingen in collaboration with the Emmendingen trade association to enhance the tourist offer and increase the digital visibility of the member businesses. MAQNIFY was also commissioned to create suitable advertising materials.

With the digital tour, day visitors, holidaymakers and locals can now discover the diversity of the margrave town with an innovative offer. The tour leads through the beautiful old town at a total of 20 stations, so that it can be easily explored on foot and at your own pace.

The tour is extended by two detours: the highest viewing tower in the Black Forest, also known as the Eichberg Tower, can be reached on foot from the city centre in around 35 minutes. The Hochburg ruins are around an hour's walk away and offer a marvellous view.

Revitalise city centres, create opportunities for cooperation

Tourism is very often a source of footfall for local retailers and an important economic factor for the region. Excitingly presented sights attract visitors to the city centre - an attractive range of shops and restaurants also keeps them there. This is why the MAQNIFY© CMS offers the option of integrating local service providers alongside the tourist POIs. Numerous, predominantly owner-managed shops, cafés, restaurants and other businesses are also integrated into the Emmendingen tour.

Advertising materials

MAQNIFY was also commissioned with the realisation of matching posters and stickers for the digital tour in the trade association's corporate design. The materials will be distributed and displayed in local businesses to make guests and residents aware of the new offer. Thanks to the integrated QR code, guests can access the tour directly by simply scanning their smartphone.
